摩索拉斯什么意思：[Mausolus] （？～353BC）古代史，小亚细亚南部卡里亚的总督。名义上受制于波斯帝国，却利用小亚细亚的剧变取得了独立。他在爱奥尼亚的希腊城市颇具影响力，并在公元前357年推动反抗雅典的联盟。在都城哈利卡纳苏斯修建了精美的建筑，最有名的要数他的陵墓，为世界七大奇观之一。由希腊建筑师设计，由他的妹妹也是他的妻子阿尔特米西娅二世完成。
