Stress analysis on cross - section of traditional dumbbell cfst arch rib which concrete filled into the web space and new dumbbell cfst arch rib which concrete not filled into the web space during the concrete was filled into the inner space are introduced in this paper . analysis expressing the stress in the two connecting points of the web plates and the bottom steel tube of the traditional dumbbell is very large when concrete is filling into the web space , and easily causing some great cracks occurred in the weld sealing , which should causing the engineering field 对钢管混凝土哑铃形拱肋以及新型哑铃形钢管混凝土拱肋在浇注混凝土时的截面应力分布进行了分析，结果表明传统哑铃形截面(腹腔内填充混凝土)在灌注腹腔混凝土时，钢管与腹板交接处将产生很大的应力，容易引发爆管事故，应引起工程界的注意；新型哑铃形截面(腹腔内不填充混凝土而用工字钢加劲)灌注管内混凝土时，截面的受力情况较好，能避免爆管事故的发生，且能简化施工，降低拱肋的自重。
