The " edward k y chen distinguished lecture series " was initiated by a group of former hku students of professor chen from early 1970s as an accolade to a fine scholar and loving teacher . its executive committee includes mr jack lee convenor , mr ambrose cheung , mr vincent kwan , mr kant kwong , mr frederick ma and mr edward yau . a fund was set up to establish the lecture series at hku in professor chen s honour 适逢陈教授将于今年荣休，他的六位学生包括李国正先生召集人张永森先生关品方先生邝德富先生马时亨先生和游德强先生，为表扬陈教授的学术成就及向恩师致敬，特成立基金，每年定期在港大举行陈坤耀杰出学人讲座。
