In 1981 , the fingerbones of the buddha and a large collection of some 900 relics were excavated . this is regarded as another major archaeological find after the terracotta army unearthed at the tomb of emperor qin shi huang ：位于西安以西扶风县，距今已有1 , 700多年历史， 1981年于寺内法门塔地宫内发掘出“佛指舍利”及各类珍贵文物约900件，是继秦始皇兵马俑后又一重大考古发现。
