In chapter three , characteristics of evolution of industrial structure in wuhu city have been analyzed : such as evolution trends of primary , secondary and tertiary industries from 1978 , sections development levels and whole development levels in industry and tertiary industry by the method of shift - share method ( ssm ) , specialization levels of sections development in industry and tertiary industry by the method location quotient analysis , characteristics of industrialization process in wuhu city , and evolution of industrial structure . the results were as follows : industrial structure system has formed in wuhu city in which there is the core of three supporting industries and the main body of leading and preponderant industries ; industry structure developed well and tertiary industry developed not well , and the reasons of evolution of industrial structure have been discussed 第三章较为全面地分析了芜湖市产业结构演化的基本特征：分析了1978年以来三次产业结构的演化特征，使用ssm分析了工业和第三产业的内部结构和整体发展水平，使用区位商分析了工业和第三产业各部门的专业化水平，分析了芜湖市工业化进程的特征，最后指出芜湖市产业结构的演化阶段，认为芜湖市已形成以三大支柱产业为核心、主导产业和优势产业为主体的产业结构体系，得出工业结构发展良好而第三产业发展欠佳的结论，并探讨了产业结构演化的原因。
