It solves problems of filtering and systematizing of sustainable development indicators . we also analyze and evaluate the structure of existing kinds of sustainable development indicator systems . based on chapter four , in chapter five we study on synthetic evaluation method of sustainable development and analyze harmonizing method 、 weight determining and synthesizing method of sustainable development systemically 重点解决可持续发展指标的定性、筛选与体系化的问题，并对现有的各种可持续发展指标体系的结构进行了剖析和评价；第五章在第四章的基础上研究了可持续发展的综合评价方法问题，对可持续发展协调度测度方法、权数确定方法和综合合成方法进行了系统分析；第六章是本文的最后一章，研究可持续发展的核算方法问题。

( 4 ) by selecting the quantitative evaluation method combining ahp and weighted average method , the comprehensive evaluation models are established for waterway transportation sustainable development indicator system . at the same time , this paper makes the quantitative evaluation and analyses to the status of waterway transportation sustainable development in china from 1985 to 2002 论文的研究内容和成果主要体现在以下几个方面：第一，通过对国内外可持续发展概念和可持续发展理论研究的系统回顾，在综合分析水路交通运输可持续发展系统特性的基础上，建立了水路交通运输可持续发展系统结构模型；第二，以可持续发展理论为基础，定义水路交通运输可持续发展，并对水路交通运输可持续发展的内涵进行了细致地研究；第三，在综合分析国内外有关可持续发展指标体系的基础上，提出构建水路交通运输可持续发展指标体系所应遵循的一般原则与特殊原则，并以此为指导详细设计出水路交通运输可持续发展指标体系；第四，选择层次分析法与加权平均法相结合的数量化综合评价方法，建立水路交通运输可持续发展指标体系的综合评价模型，并利用其对我国1985年至2002年水路交通运输可持续发展进行定量评价与分析。
