  由于目前商用工作流管理系统中petri网建模方法的应用已经比较成熟，所以本文以petri网的建模方法为基础，对其进行相应的扩充，构造出适合于工程设计项目管理业务流程的着色扩充petri网( cxpn网)建模方法；综合考虑价格、数据模型的存储与检索效率以及技术成熟度等因素，选取关系数据库对工程设计项目管理工作流( edwfms )系统的对象数据模型进行存储；对于工程设计过程中的长事务管理给出了支持协同工作的扩展事务模型，同时对长事务管理中的几个关键技术进行了研究；提出了基于版本树的资源对象版本管理模型，对复杂的资源版本进行控制；最后，给出了支持分布式工程设计项目管理工作流系统的扩充c s应用体系结构。
